Kitchen Canopy Extraction Systems
Clear Vent Africa, cleans, services and maintains Kitchen extraction systems in restaurant / commercial kitchens according to SANS 1850:2014 government regulations.
The cleaning and servicing of the kitchen canopy extraction systems are carried out after hours, or at a time convenient to the client when the kitchen is closed.
This includes weekend and public holidays.
A team of trained cleaning technicians will clean and service the system under the supervision of a senior supervisor.
Average cleaning time is approximately 4-6 hours depending on the size and overall condition of the Kitchen Canopy extraction system.
Upon completion of the service a checklist will be completed by the senior supervisor to ensure that all work has been carried out with accordance to SANS 1850:2014 regulations and the kitchen has been left clean, before the cleaning certificate is handed over to the client.
Filters
Filters are an extremely important part of an extraction systems functionality. Should replacement filters be required Clear Vent Africa can supply and install new filters or repair broken and damaged filters if required* (repetition of word required)
Service Intervals
According to SANS 1850:2014 cleaning of the kitchen canopy extraction systems needs to be carried out every 6 months.
Reasons for regular cleaning and servicing of the Kitchen Canopy Extraction System
Other than the government regulations requiring an Extraction System clean every six months, the following benefits apply.
Removal of grease from the Extraction System ducting and filters will help improve airflow, and will help reduce the risk of fire.
In the event of a kitchen fire, most insurance companies will require a copy of the cleaning certificate to support payment.
Regular cleaning of the extractor fan will help prolong the fans life, as well as improving airflow.
A copy of SANS 1850:2012 regulations is available from our offices upon request.
Pizza Ovens
Cleaning of Pizza ovens (solid fuel ovens) differs from the cleaning of grease systems due to the nature of the fuel used. During the cleaning process, the combustion chamber needs to be scrapped clean, and the ducting cleaned where accessible.
The condition and integrity of the ducting will be checked, and the fan and weather cowl cleaned.
